Filipino-American athletes to join PNG

THE Philippine Sports Commission said that it would reimburse the expenses of foreign athletes with Filipino parentage that will join the 2013 Philippine Olympic Committee-Philippine Sports Commission (POC-PSC) National Games that is set to start on May 24 at the Rizal Memorial Football field in Malate, Manila.
“We will reimburse their expenses if they win in the [Philippine National Games],” said PSC Commissioner Jolly Gomez during the recent Philippine Sportswriters Association forum in Malate, Manila.

It’s all systems go for the Philippine National Games which unfurls on May 25 in 14 different venues with the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex as the main hub.
“Everything is in place. We’ve ironed out already all kinks to ensure the smooth sailing of the third edition,” said Commissioner Jose Luis Gomez in yesterday’s PSA Forum at Shakey’s.
PNG offers cash bonus to winners

MANILA, Philippines - Participants in the Philippine National Games scheduled May 24-June 2 can look forward to more than just winning the gold.
Commissioner Jolly Gomez of the Philippine Sports Commission said winners of this year’s PNG may also receive cash incentives from their respective LGUs (local government units).
