17 top athletes to enter Hall of Fame as PSC celebrates 25th year

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) will recognize the country’s former top athletes during its silver anniversary on January 25 at the Century Park-Sheraton Hotel in Manila.
During the celebration, PSC Chairman Ricardo Garcia said that awards will be given to 17 former top athletes who will be included in the 2nd batch of athletes elevated to the Philippine Sports Hall of Fame.
The Philippine Women's Team Ranked Top at the Level and qualified for the Level 1 for the next FIBA Asia 2017.
The Women's Basketball Team represented the Philippines to the recently concluded Level 2 FIBA Asia qualifying in Wuhan, China last August 29-September 6, made another history for making it on top of the said event.
Further, the team headed by Mr. Patrick Henry Aquino, and the 12 players from different schools, made it to the Level 1 slot and will compete with other countries such as Japan, China, South Korea, Chines Taipei, India and Thailand.
NCCA’s Grant Of P125,000.00 to the Psc Project “Preservation, Conservation and Restoration of Museum Collections”
The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has entered a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) for a grant of P125,000.00 to finance the preservation, conservation and restoration of the PSC Museum collections.
PSC Chair Ricardo Garcia sent a letter addressed to Hon. Felipe De Leon last 30 July 2013 requesting for financial assistance for the preservation, conservation and restoration of the PSC Museum collections.
